Exam marking vs. Diablo III or: The Two Greater Evils

May is upon me. May means exams, conferences, and graduation exams in such short succession that I seem to blink on April 30th and suddenly open my eyes again on June 1st. Without really knowing where the time in between went. Unless you count some telltale dark circles under the eyes.

This year, May is even worse! Into that time of non-existent free time, Blizzard dares to release the game I’ve been waiting for since… early 2001. Now, kids, Diablo holds a special place in my heart. I played a warrior named Ulf in Diablo I to take off steam from a terrible defeat of my football team, Bayer Leverkusen, in 1996. My husband (then-boyfried, obviously) proposed to me during a slash fest of our Paladin and Barbarian sometime between Acts 1 and 2 in Diablo II. We played and replayed the game for over a decade and waited for Diabo III to come out.

Damn, I love it.

The best thing is that Diablo now has good-looking male characters. AND you can dye their equipment.

    • Some of the vendors have dye in their stocks. ;) So far, I’ve only come across green, blue, and white. Others can be bought in the auctions.

There’s also a vanishing dye for when you find those silly Harry Potter hats with great stats :D

  1. Glad to see you’re happy with the new game. I remember my older brothers playing this when I was a child. I’m just eagerly awaiting more art from you. I love seeing new stuff from you, it makes me happy. :)

      • I’m still hoping for the Maedhros, Maglor, Elrond and Elros one. Or the Maglor by the sea fading one. Or maybe another cute little picture of Fëanor and Nerdanel with a baby Maedhros, or toddler Maedhros with baby Maglor. Sorry, I know it takes time and inspiration for pieces, so I’m not trying to push you, just offering my hopeful suggestoins. XD

  2. May is evil. My university has exam week as the first week of may, and then a three-week optional summer session where you do fourteen weeks worth of class in fourteen class days. I am so *not* doing this next year.
