I’m keeping an art diary all through the lockdown, which has resulted in two series as yet – here are the Valar (more precisely, the Aratar).

These will be available as enamel pins around next month!

Sehr geehrte Frau Dolfen,
Enrica

So beautiful! Just as a matter of interest, what’s your favourite Vala (or Valie)?
Nienna. :)
Oh, I love her! She is my favourite Valie too :-)
So beautiful! I especially love Yavanna with the magnolias in her hair.
This is my favorite depiction of Namo I’ve seen so far. And Nienna is just perfect!
I’d love to see your depictions of the other Valar eventually, particularly Tulkas!
These are stunning and inspiring.
I particularly love the wisdom and serenity in Mandos’ face. And the Sky in Manwë’s hair and beard – absolutely love them. I need to get my watercolours out and start learning again. I haven’t painted since GCSE art in school 25 years ago, but I love watercolour character art. Thank you for sharing.
Your take on the Valar is stunning!
